Our Team
With deep expertise in building science and a commitment to doing things right the first time, Kevin Thompson is the founder, Owner, and Senior Inspector of The Green Valley Group. Since establishing the company in 2007, Kevin has led its growth as a trusted provider of stucco and home inspections, thermal imaging, moisture intrusion forensics, and building-envelope consulting—including expert witness services. Raised on a sixth-generation Angus cattle farm, he brings a strong work ethic and practical mindset to every project. After earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Penn State, Kevin gained hands-on experience in real estate investing and property rehabilitation, which sharpened his skills in system evaluation and remediation planning. He holds certifications from the American Home Inspectors Training Institute, ASHI and NAHI continuing education programs, and is a Level II Certified U.S. Thermographer through Infraspection Institute—credentials that strengthen the firm’s technical capabilities and diagnostic accuracy.
An analytical thinker with a background in engineering and education, Matt uses his strong problem-solving skills to deliver precise, detail-oriented inspections. He excels at diagnosing complex issues, such as moisture intrusion or structural irregularities, and explaining his findings in a way that’s understandable and helpful. Clients appreciate his methodical approach and depth of knowledge, particularly when unpacking complicated technical observations.
Alejandro brings a sharp eye, strong technical instincts, and a passion for building science to his role as Associate Inspector. Under the mentorship of senior inspectors, he assists in performing residential and stucco inspections, moisture evaluations, and detailed field documentation. Alejandro is known for his eagerness to learn, methodical approach, and growing expertise in diagnostic tools and building systems. As he continues pursuing industry certifications, he brings value through thorough support in the field and a commitment to accuracy, reliability, and client education.
Vanessa manages the critical behind-the-scenes functions that keep the business running smoothly, including project management, scheduling, accounts payable and receivable, bookkeeping, payroll, financial oversight, organizational and risk management, human resources, and the development and implementation of budgets, strategies, policies, and practices. She brings extensive experience in sales, marketing, operations, and business leadership, and as a detail- and process-oriented leader, Vanessa uses strong time management, professional discipline, and subject matter expertise to drive revenue growth, streamline workflows, and improve operations. With a strong customer-service mindset, she works closely with employees, clients, and inspectors to ensure a seamless and professional experience.
Emily is the organized and friendly team member who ensures the daily operations at The Green Valley Group are handled with efficiency and precision. As Office Manager, she oversees scheduling, client communication, and administrative processes with care and professionalism. With a strong background in customer service and office coordination, Emily ensures that every client interaction is prompt, positive, and professional. She plays a vital role in supporting both the inspection team and clients, making sure no detail is overlooked.
